Chuck Taylor boasts an impressive resume in the field of weapons and tactics, with over several thousand magazine articles and four books to his name. He holds the title of Adjunct Professor Of Police Science, Expert Witness, and is recognized as the first Four-Weapon Combat Master. As a decorated Vietnam Veteran, he carries qualifications in Airborne, Air-Assault, and RANGER training, alongside expertise in SWAT, Counter-Terrorist, and Narcotics Operations.

Taylor’s expertise extends to firearms instruction and competition. He is an NRA-certified rifle/pistol instructor and a former World-class IPSC competitor and U.S. Team member. His extensive qualifications include NRA Expert ratings in Light Rifle, High-Power Carbine, and High-Power Rifle. During his military service, he earned Expert ratings with various firearms including the M-1911 .45 pistol, M-1, M-14, and M-16 rifles, M-60 machine gun, and M-79 40mm grenade launcher.

Training and Recognition

Chuck Taylor is the Founder and Director of the American Small Arms Academy. He has been involved in training tactical personnel for multiple Olympic games and numerous military/police units, both known and covert. His reputation as a top trainer garnered international recognition, particularly when the Swiss Army and Air Force adopted his techniques in 1996 & 1997, subsequently training over 300,000 personnel. The Belgian Army followed suit in January 2003, with an additional 100,000 men receiving his methods. In February 2003, two major European nations began adopting his techniques, solidifying Taylor’s position as the only trainer in the world with techniques adopted by multiple major nations.

Global Recognition and Impact

Taylor’s influence extends globally, with feature articles on him and his academy appearing in publications from various countries including Belgium, Germany, France, Spain, Britain, and the USA. His techniques have been credited with saving lives and have earned him commendations from organizations like the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), FBI, U.S. Army Special Forces, U.S. Navy SEALs, and numerous law enforcement agencies worldwide.

Beyond Firearms: Big-Game Hunting

In addition to his expertise in weapons and tactics, Chuck Taylor is also a highly successful big-game hunter with extensive global experience, including Africa and Alaska. He has received the Safari Club International Top Ten Award and has bagged more than a dozen record-book animals, including Rocky Mountain Elk, Russian Boar, White Tail, Sika, Fallow and Axis deer, Blackbuck Antelope, Catalina Goat, and Corsican Ram, with ten of these taken with a handgun, showcasing his prowess as both a hunter and a marksman.
